The Character Flaw Workshop - Recording Available!

Hi!

For those of you who were unable to attend the live workshop, I've now made the recording available...plus the two PDF worksheets I shared in the live presentation.

All you have to do is click the download button below, and you'll have access to the recording and PDFs for as long as you need them - it's a discounted price of $24.

In the meantime, don't forget that I am hosting Workshop 02: How To Use Decision-Making as a Creative Development Tool on July 21 at 11:00am CT. The recording will be available afterward as well.

The previous Character Flaw workshop was a success, and I'm happy to see the writers in attendance gaining traction on their projects and characters. These workshops are meant to support you for the long haul - not just on one particular script.

My aim with The Story Farm is an ironic one - I want you to learn so much that you eventually no longer need or want my support! I know that sounds odd, but giving you creative development notes on only one script - specific brainstorms to assist that particular story - is of course helpful, but it doesn't teach you how to grow as a writer so that your future scripts are that much stronger.

That is what these workshops are meant to do; to give you the tools and understandings so that you move more confidently toward your writing goals...without needing to constantly pay me or any other consultant to help you!

So if you'd like to purchase the recording of the July 7 Character Flaw workshop, and receive the PDF worksheets...click that big button down there.

I'm always available at max@thestoryfarm.org if you would like support beyond the workshops, and would prefer to work 1-on-1 for the long term instead of in a group. I also have spots available in my upcoming September Writing Retreat in Wisconsin, Sept 30 - Oct 4.

Let's keep working hard!

Hi! I must say - I'm excited. I've been hosting webinars and classes through The Story Farm, as well as the ISA, for years now. It even dates back to 2006 when I started developing writers through Writers Boot Camp in Santa Monica. I haven't, until now, hosted specific live workshops that dedicated time on more than just the craft of screenwriting. What I've learned through the years is that writers need more than just a general education on structure, beats, formatting, and even topics like...
